Treasure Silver Beaded Garnet Gemstone Necklace

This beautiful necklace features an oval garnet set in an ornate claw setting.

Completely hand forged in sterling silver, I have used beaded wire and well as hand twisted lengths of square wire to create the decorative detailing.

Each necklace is handmade to order making every one unique.

The faceted garnet gemstone is a wonderful deep red and it sparkles as it catches the light. The stone measures 7 x 5mm and just to be a little different I decided to set it horizontally.

The pendant including the hanging loop measures around 15mm by 13mm and has been hung from a sterling silver belcher chain that complements the design perfectly. It closes with a lobster clasp and I have added a little matching garnet bead drop. This necklace is available with a 16, 18 or 20″ length chain.

As a final touch I have oxidised and re-polished the finished necklace to give it a distressed, antique feel and to really bring out the details.

Although it has a pretty traditional Victorian/Edwardian look to it, the few extra design touches give the necklace a slightly edgier, darker feel. It could be mistaken for an ancient family heirloom, a vampires treasured gem or perhaps even a horcrux….
