Located at the model house in the picturesque town of old Llantrisant, Join me in my cosy studio for this exclusive workshop designed to introduce you to the art of silversmithing.

In this workshop you’ll learn to make your very own gemstone set silver necklace.

Pick your own cabochon from a beautiful selection of natural gemstones such as garnet, labradorite, moonstone, amethyst and more before forging a necklace from scratch. I’ll guide you through the whole process – from shaping and soldering a setting to perfectly fit your chosen stone, to then carefully hand setting it using traditional silversmithing tools.

Whether you’ve previous experience of metalsmithing or it’s your first time giving it a go, this workshop is open to all skill levels. Step-by-step guidance will be given to help you create your one of a kind ring.

Each workshop is run over 4 hours and kept to small groups of 2-5 people. This enables me to be hands on and personally help you through the process from beginning to end, ensuring that you get the most out of your experience.

Over the course of the workshop, you will:

• Use professional silversmithing tools and materials.
• Pick your own stone from a selection of cabochons including amethyst, garnet, moonstone, labradorite and more.
• Shape and solder your own setting in silver before learning the basics of stone setting.
• Finish the workshop with a beautiful one of a kind gemstone necklace.

 

The price includes use of all tools, tuition, silver for the setting, one gemstone of your choice as well as a chain to hang your pendant from.

Tea, refreshments and biscuits will also be included.
