Make Your Own Rings

A Shared Act of Making

For those who want something deeper than choosing a ring from a display case, this workshop offers the opportunity to make your own wedding rings by hand, guided through each step in a private studio setting.

Over the course of the workshop, you will shape, form, and finish your own rings using traditional metalsmithing techniques, creating pieces that carry not only meaning, but the marks of your own making.

This workshop is for couples who want to be involved in making their wedding rings, but don’t necessarily consider themselves makers.

With gentle guidance throughout, you’ll create your own rings by hand in a relaxed studio setting. No experience is needed, and nothing is rushed. The focus is on enjoying the process and creating something lasting together.

You’ll be supported at every step, so you never feel unsure or out of your depth

The Experience

Workshops are held on a one-to-one or one-couple basis, ensuring a calm, focused atmosphere and plenty of guidance throughout the process. You will be supported at every stage – from measuring and forming the metal, through soldering, shaping, and finishing, resulting in rings that are wearable, durable, and uniquely yours.

During the workshop, you’ll make two rings. The first is a practice ring in sterling silver. This allows you to become familiar with the tools and techniques, test sizing, and explore finishes without pressure. It’s a chance to learn, adjust, and feel confident before moving on. Once you’re comfortable, you’ll create your final wedding ring in your chosen metal.

Materials & Finish

Rings can be made in sterling silver, 9ct or 18ct gold, All sterling silver costs are included in the workshop price, but there is an additional bullion charge when using gold for your rings. This depends on your chosen style and current and metal prices, but this is discussed in advance and priced separately where applicable. We’ll talk through metal options, costs, and timelines so you know exactly what to expect.

Simple textures, finishes, and subtle design details can be incorporated during the workshop, while keeping the focus on creating rings that will stand the test of time. Your final wedding rings will be hallmarked at the London assay office.
